Shenzhen parks ban motorhome parking

A family from Beijing has been living in their motorhome at the Xingyun service area in Jiangchuan district, Yunnan province, since 2025. They were attracted by the view of Xingyun Lake, a mild climate around 20°C, and proximity to town amenities. The local government is promoting the area as a long-term RV living destination, focusing on its ecological and cultural resources.

The Chinese motorhome manufacturer Xinji Ao RV has announced changes to its executive team. Liu Tao resigned as Executive Director and CFO on January 3 to focus on the group's strategic work and was appointed Chief Strategy Officer. The board named Zhu Jihao as the new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

Chinese manufacturer HEMU has launched the updated Ax5, a compact Class A motorhome. The 5995 mm long vehicle is built on an Iveco Daily chassis with a 3.0T engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include an electric lift bed, kitchen, bathroom, and a 10 kWh power reserve. The model is priced at 518,000 yuan.

Authorities in Simao District, Yunnan Province, are implementing a program to develop motorhome infrastructure. The project has identified 48 potential campsite plots totaling over 76 hectares. The first two campsites with 200 spaces are scheduled to open in early 2024.

Motorhome owners, referred to as 'snowbirds', are spending the winter in Maoming city in China's Guangdong province. They are utilizing designated campsites with utility hookups. Local authorities are developing this infrastructure to attract tourism.

The company has expanded its product line from travel trailers to motorhomes and entered markets in the Middle East and Canada, aiming to adapt its offerings to different regions.
