Beijing family spends five months motorhoming at Jiangchuan service area

The Chinese motorhome manufacturer Xinji Ao RV has announced changes to its executive team. Liu Tao resigned as Executive Director and CFO on January 3 to focus on the group's strategic work and was appointed Chief Strategy Officer. The board named Zhu Jihao as the new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

Chinese manufacturer HEMU has launched the updated Ax5, a compact Class A motorhome. The 5995 mm long vehicle is built on an Iveco Daily chassis with a 3.0T engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include an electric lift bed, kitchen, bathroom, and a 10 kWh power reserve. The model is priced at 518,000 yuan.

Authorities in Simao District, Yunnan Province, are implementing a program to develop motorhome infrastructure. The project has identified 48 potential campsite plots totaling over 76 hectares. The first two campsites with 200 spaces are scheduled to open in early 2024.

Motorhome owners, referred to as 'snowbirds', are spending the winter in Maoming city in China's Guangdong province. They are utilizing designated campsites with utility hookups. Local authorities are developing this infrastructure to attract tourism.

Chinese motorhome manufacturer New Giao announced its 'World Tour 2.0' global strategy on the first anniversary of its Hong Kong stock exchange listing. The company has expanded its product line from travel trailers to motorhomes and entered markets in the Middle East and Canada, aiming to adapt its offerings to different regions.

The Weihang T6 'Little Beast' motorhome will be showcased at the Chengdu RV show from March 6 to 8, 2026. Based on a Ford V362 chassis, it is marketed as a multi-purpose vehicle for business and travel. It features a 2.0L diesel engine, a surveillance system, and includes sleeping accommodations and a kitchen.
