Hyundai unveils electric Staria camper van concept at CMT 2026

In Seoul's Daechi-dong district, a hub for private tutoring, parents are using motorhomes parked on streets as rest areas for their children between classes. The vehicles are equipped with beds and kitchens, allowing children to nap and parents to cook meals. Some parents view this as cost-effective compared to renting nearby studio apartments, which can cost up to 2.6 million won per month during peak season, even factoring in parking fines.

At the Caravan, Motor und Touristik trade show in Stuttgart, Hyundai presented the Staria Camper Concept, an electric camper van. The vehicle features a pop-up roof with a double bed, a kitchen module, a shower, and a 520-watt solar panel. The base electric van has a claimed range of 400 km.
