Honda unveils lightweight Base Station travel trailer prototype

Honda's U.S. subsidiary has unveiled a prototype travel trailer called the Base Station. It weighs under 1,500 pounds, making it towable by a compact SUV like the Honda CR-V. The base version includes a pull-out futon, a roof-mounted tent, and an A/C unit. The side windows are designed to be swapped for modular add-ons such as an outdoor shower or kitchenette.
