Playas Doradas Imposes Curfew for Motorhomes and Trucks

A former firefighter working at a gas station extinguished a starting fire in a motorhome on a highway in Argentina. The incident occurred on National Route 228 when a family noticed flames under the dashboard. The man used a fire extinguisher and his professional skills to prevent the fire from completely destroying the vehicle.

A motorhome became stuck on a section of Argentina's National Route 40, known as the '73 Cursed'. Provincial road services used a motor grader to rescue the vehicle and restore the road. The stretch between Tres Lagos and Gobernador Gregores was closed to all traffic due to water and mud accumulation following heavy rains.

The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon at kilometer 685 of Route 51 near Bahía Blanca. A motorhome being towed by a Toyota Hilux detached, crossed into the oncoming lane, and collided head-on with a Mercedes truck. The truck driver was injured, and traffic was disrupted for approximately one hour.

The Argentine company AbrigA produces thermoacoustic insulation mats from coarse sheep wool, previously considered waste. The 50 mm thick mats are used in house and hotel construction, as well as for insulating motorhomes. According to the company, producing this material requires 8 times less energy than manufacturing fiberglass insulation.

Paulo Graglia, head of the company Cinzia, reported positive results from the public-private initiative 'Motorhome Route' in Argentina's Córdoba province. The circuit currently includes around a dozen points in locations such as Río Cuarto and Villa Tulumba. Graglia also stated that the quality of medium-sized motorhomes manufactured in Argentina is on par with or exceeds that of U.S.-made models.

Armed criminals stole a motorhome with a family inside in the Argentine city of Mar del Plata. The incident occurred on Monday evening on a highway when the father pulled over. Two children who were outside were left on the roadside but were later found safe by police. The stolen vehicle and trailer were located the next day in a vacant lot.
