Izmir to open three new caravan parks in 2026

Authorities in Istanbul's Maltepe district conducted a joint operation to remove caravans illegally occupying the coastal area. The caravans, parked outside designated areas and obstructing traffic, were towed to a municipal impound lot. The operation was organized by Maltepe Municipality with support from traffic police and the metropolitan municipality.

Turkish manufacturer Crawler has launched the ALP 560 off-road travel trailer. The 5.6-meter model features an aluminum body, a rear terrace door, and a separate bathroom entrance. The base price is 72,828 euros.

Turkey's Regional Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks and the travel agencies association TÜRSAB are discussing joint projects to develop rural tourism in Konya province. Key initiatives will focus on infrastructure for camping, caravanning, hiking trails, and wetland tourism. Plans include organizing one-day tours, for instance in the Karapınar area.
