Turkish manufacturer unveils off-road caravan with terrace

Authorities in Istanbul's Maltepe district conducted a joint operation to remove caravans illegally occupying the coastal area. The caravans, parked outside designated areas and obstructing traffic, were towed to a municipal impound lot. The operation was organized by Maltepe Municipality with support from traffic police and the metropolitan municipality.

Turkish manufacturer Crawler has launched the ALP 560 off-road travel trailer. The 5.6-meter model features an aluminum body, a rear terrace door, and a separate bathroom entrance. The base price is 72,828 euros.

Turkey's Regional Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks and the travel agencies association TÜRSAB are discussing joint projects to develop rural tourism in Konya province. Key initiatives will focus on infrastructure for camping, caravanning, hiking trails, and wetland tourism. Plans include organizing one-day tours, for instance in the Karapınar area.

The Turkish company SealVans has developed a travel trailer that can be used on both road and water. Two models are offered: a compact 4.2-meter version for two people and a 7.5-meter model for four. The estimated starting price is 28,000 euros.

Turkish manufacturer Crawler has introduced the off-road caravan ALP 560 to the German market. The model, over 7 meters long, features a unique split tailgate that opens to form a terrace. The base price exceeds €70,000, which is significantly above the German average for caravans in this class.

Authorities in Darıca district, Kocaeli province, have mandated caravan owners to use a paid parking lot in Millet Bahçesi park. Owners argue the lot lacks essential infrastructure like electricity and waste disposal, and the fees create a financial burden. They demand either free parking or a properly equipped municipal site with reasonable rates.
