Volkswagen T1 Camper Van Converted into Helicopter Replica

A fire at the River Point RV Park in Ontario destroyed one RV and a passenger vehicle. Firefighters evacuated cats from a nearby RV, while all occupants self-evacuated. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Jamie McMillan has purchased the Campkin's RV Centre dealership from longtime owner Roland Goreski. McMillan, who joined the company in 2011, aims to continue the customer-first culture of the over-53-year-old business. The new owner plans to build on the company's reputation while introducing fresh energy and ideas.

Canadian company Leisure Travel Vans (LTV) has introduced the new Unity TB4X camper van. Key features include all-wheel drive, a 1,727-liter pass-through gear garage at the rear, and a starting price of $243,690. The van is built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis and is powered by a 208 hp diesel engine.

Canadian RV manufacturer Leisure Travel Vans introduced the Unity TBX motorhome at the Florida RV SuperShow. The 25-ft model, based on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, features a 1,727-liter rear gear garage and is available with AWD. Pricing starts at US$236,790.

A retired Austrian couple completed a cross-Canada journey in a four-wheel-drive motorhome, reaching Alaska via the Top of the World Highway. They encountered grizzly bears during the trip. Previously, the pair spent a year traveling around Australia in a similar vehicle.
