Sod Peak 6×6 motorhome based on Mercedes truck unveiled

Former professional kitesurfers Max and Leon have founded Sea Land Mountain, a company in Velbert that converts vans into high-end campers. Their vehicles feature a roof tent, terrace, and hammock, with a capacity for up to six people.

Mercedes-Benz is bringing all production of the Marco Polo camper van in-house for the 2026 model year, ending its long-standing partnership with Westfalia. Key updates feature a new lightweight pop-up roof with more headroom and a skylight, alongside an enhanced MBAC smart control system. The updated models will debut at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf in August 2026.

A modular squiq system transforms the Dacia Bigster SUV into a camper without permanent modifications. The setup features a slide-out platform with a 160 kg load capacity and removable kitchen modules made from waterproof plywood. The German company BOXIO presented a modular storage system for cars and vans at a trade show in Hamburg. The system is assembled from lightweight wooden modules designed for standard Eurobox plastic containers, secured with straps without drilling, and can be converted into a sleeping platform. Pricing starts at 349 euros, with first deliveries scheduled for March 2026.

Approximately €350,000 was recently invested in the facility, including modern power columns and a new digital booking system.
