Foldable camper tent concept Wingcube presented at CMT 2026

The Beuel district of Bonn, Germany, is facing a shortage of parking spaces for motorhomes. Local political parties are currently discussing solutions to create designated parking areas, as owners need year-round storage for their vehicles.

Former professional kitesurfers Max and Leon have founded Sea Land Mountain, a company in Velbert that converts vans into high-end campers. Their vehicles feature a roof tent, terrace, and hammock, with a capacity for up to six people.

A modular squiq system transforms the Dacia Bigster SUV into a camper without permanent modifications. The setup features a slide-out platform with a 160 kg load capacity and removable kitchen modules made from waterproof plywood. It attaches via straps to existing cargo points and is fully removable, allowing the vehicle to remain a daily driver.

The German company BOXIO presented a modular storage system for cars and vans at a trade show in Hamburg. The system is assembled from lightweight wooden modules designed for standard Eurobox plastic containers, secured with straps without drilling, and can be converted into a sleeping platform. Pricing starts at 349 euros, with first deliveries scheduled for March 2026.

A new specialized online shop, ML Freizeitshop, has launched in Germany for motorhome and caravan owners. The assortment includes around 10,000 products, ranging from insulation and technical equipment to furniture. The shop offers free shipping from €50 and a 30-day return policy.

Readers of the magazine 'promobil' have selected the best motorhome sites in Germany. The site in Bremerhaven ranked eighth in the category for 31–50 vehicles, praised for its waterfront location. Approximately €350,000 was recently invested in the facility, including modern power columns and a new digital booking system.
