Camping boom in Vorarlberg with more overnight stays and new rules

Salzburg offers organized stops and daytime parking for motorhome travelers. The main year-round stop has 110 spaces with utilities and direct bus connection to the city center. Daytime parking in the city is allowed for a maximum of 3 hours, while overnight stays are prohibited.

A court has approved a restructuring plan for Austrian tiny house pioneer WW Wohnwagon in its insolvency proceedings. Creditors will receive a quota of 20%, payable within two years. The plan is already confirmed following a cash payment of 5%.

The classic physical vignette sticker for Austrian motorways will be discontinued from 2027. 2026 is the last year travelers can choose between the sticker and the digital version. The digital vignette is linked to the license plate and enforced by cameras; spontaneous travelers must note an 18-day activation period for online purchases.

Alongside its Volkswagen-based models, it now offers a version built on the Ford Tourneo Custom chassis with a modular layout. The company will present its vehicles at trade shows in Salzburg and Wels from March 27 to 29.
