NoVA tax hampers motorhome sales in Austria

A campsite in the Austrian state of Carinthia is closing after 39 years due to the introduction of a daily tourist tax of 4 euros. The owner stated the tax would account for 28% of the campsite's annual turnover, making the business unviable. Plans for reinvestment and rezoning have been withdrawn.

Salzburg offers organized stops and daytime parking for motorhome travelers. The main year-round stop has 110 spaces with utilities and direct bus connection to the city center. Daytime parking in the city is allowed for a maximum of 3 hours, while overnight stays are prohibited.
