Grant awarded to establish boutique RV and caravan park in Gympie

A failed Queensland caravan manufacturer has been sold to a Melbourne-based rival. The sale resulted in millions of dollars in losses for the company's investors and creditors.

A deal to salvage the collapsed luxury caravan maker Zone RV will leave over 100 customers about $10 million short, as their progress payments are not part of the asset purchase by Essential Caravans. The new owner offered affected customers caravans at cost price, which still requires significant additional payment for most, and has scrapped the previous progressive payment system. The liquidator will now investigate potential illegal trading by a former director.
