Motorhome and caravan sales increased by 10% in 2025

The municipality of Piazza Armerina in Italy has confirmed the creation of two new equipped areas for motorhome parking. Project funding is already allocated, with construction to begin imminently. One area will be a refurbishment of an existing site, while the other will be built on the current bus parking lot.

A new free motorhome area has been completed in the Italian town of Torrita di Siena. The facility, with 10 pitches, dump station, and water hook-ups, was funded by the Tuscany Region. The official inauguration is scheduled for March 15.

The Olbia City Council has approved a new regulation for short-stay motorhome parking areas. The measure was mandated by the Sardinia Region following a court ruling. Previously established municipal areas in Basa and Berchiddeddu have seen little use due to a lack of essential services like waste water disposal and electricity.

A selection of motorhome and camper van travel routes for the Easter holidays in 2026 has been compiled. The itineraries focus on Italian regions such as Valle d'Aosta, Trentino, and Tuscany, detailing points of interest and available stopover areas.

The municipality of Livorno has secured state funding to renovate a motorhome parking area in the Banditella district. The €112,000 project will create 25 designated pitches. Construction is scheduled to begin by June 30 and be completed by the end of 2026.

The municipality of Porto Sant'Elpidio has approved the creation of a new equipped parking area for motorhomes and cars on Via Milano. The 4,370 square meter site will be granted under a three-year concession to a private operator. The maximum continuous stay for a motorhome is 72 hours, with rates ranging from 12 to 43 euros. Expressions of interest for management are due by March 4.
