A week of remote work from a camper van: a practical test

Due to rising hotel prices in Spain ahead of the solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, many tourists are opting for motorhomes and camper vans. The eclipse will pass through Galicia, Asturias and reach the Mediterranean, with accommodation demand in some rural areas increasing three to tenfold. Authorities on Ibiza are intensifying crackdowns on illegally parked motorhomes. The fine for three nights of parking on unauthorized land is 20,000 euros.
